Piano Studio of Marci Pittman

Our son has sat under Marci Pittman’s capable tutelage for over 8 years. She has given him a rich foundation of music theory, a wide exposure to various composers, and the ongoing encouragement to push forward in his skills as a pianist. Every private lesson is carefully planned. Each group session is joyfully administered. Playing concerts semi-annually have been a highlight, especially the concerts at different senior living facilities…oh, to experience the appreciation of the older generation! Mrs. Pittman, your expert teaching will carry our son into any instrument that catches his attention. Thank you for everything!

Mother, Andrea K. (7/2024)

Thank you for being an important and vital part of Jacob's and Samuel's homeschool journey. I am so thankful that music has been a huge part of their lives! We will miss you, but your impact will last forever for them.

Mother, Pam K. (5/2022)

As a teacher, you are unique - I realized when you told me that I've been your longest student that you have also been my longest teacher. You have touched my life in a way that I can never absolutely repay. You are a blessing in my life, and I will never forget you. Eternally thankful!

High School Graduate, Lily J. (5/2021)

For the past 14 years, you have provided Lily an education and experience with piano that will stay with her for a lifetime. She has a solid piano foundation that will benefit her as she continues her journey in music. Thank you! And most importantly, your relationship with her has been such a gift for us. As a teacher you are loving, supportive, patient, creative, and talented. And as a role model, you have shown Lily so much more; the love of music and the joy of finding meaningful and fulfilling work in life. I will continue to think of you when I hear her play. Words just can’t express my gratitude and appreciation. Thank you and God bless!

Mother, Nancy J. (5/2021)

Thank you for all you’ve done for and with Lily all these years. Lily has developed a talent that she will have for the rest of her life. One can’t put a price on that! I want to also say thank you for being the teacher that you are – not just with Lily, but with all your students. I have always enjoyed the piano recitals and that’s when I get to see you with all of your students. You are organized and calm and patient – exactly what those young minds need up there performing for strangers. If there is a mistake during a duet, you just quietly get them back where they need to be. It’s a joy to watch! You are truly a gift and a blessing for each one of your students. Thanks again.

Father of two students, Tom J. (5/2021)

Your passion and love for the piano have always been so inspiring to our whole family. You always provided an environment of enthusiasm and encouragement with your time and efforts. Because of your constant support during the past several years, I know that Lily’s “best friend” will be her piano, for life! With sincere admiration.

Grandmother of two students, Jeannine M. (5/2021)

I am so grateful to have had you in my life! Aside from helping guide and encouraging my various musical endeavors, you have helped me grow both as a musician and human being. For a student like me, being able to take lessons from you was a blessing beyond belief. Thank you!

Former Student/Music Major, Daisy F. (8/2019)

Marci was my children's piano teacher for 11 years; from the time they were 7 until they were late teens. I am grateful for the positive, patient teacher she was to them and so happy she was a part of their education and their musical journey. They have both excelled in high school band with a solid foundation from Marci.

Mother, Mary F. (9/2019)

The recital was wonderful! Of course, I thought Daisy did a great job, but so did every other student!

I couldn’t help but think about how you shape the lives and experiences of these children in such a positive way – well beyond the music. They are so fortunate to have this opportunity.

I teach General Assistance population students Job Skills. Butte College has a partnership with Butte County. We have faculty in Chico and Oroville at the County Employment Centers who teach this class. What a contrast between seeing loving parents whose children are learning refinement along with their music as opposed to students (children and adults) who are having to learn the hard way to take responsibility for themselves and many after they’ve hit bottom.

Daisy and Owen were so blessed to have you as their piano teacher! Thank you for all you do and all you have done for my grandchildren.

Grandmother of Two Students, Melinda F. (5/2019)

Thank you so much for being my piano teacher! I have had such a great time with you and learned so much! It has truly been a wonderful experience and I will definitely miss it! May God bless you and keep you.

High School Student, Chloe R. (5/2018)

First, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your hard work with Chloe. Thank you for giving her confidence with the piano, thank you for teaching her how to read music and thank you especially for your encouragement and kindness along the way. You are an amazing person and teacher. We were so blessed to have been able to have you as Chloe's piano instructor. She has enjoyed you every step of the way and always had wonderful things to say about you. We are sad that she has decided to stop taking piano lessons, but life has just gotten too busy, and we ran way too much this year. She needed to make some decisions, because (as I'm sure you know as a mom), you can't do everything (though we sure tried)! So, with sadness, I just wanted to say thank you for who you are and the instruction you gave Chloe. You will be missed! May the Lord bless you for the blessing you are to others.

Mother, Kay R. (5/2018)

You have been an inspiring example to me, and I know I wouldn’t be the person I am today without you. You invested in me not only as a student but as a person. You taught me scales and arpeggios, yes, but you also taught me how to work hard, love others, and serve Christ in everything I do. Thank you for being a part of my life!

Former Student/College Graduate, Ashlyn R. (5/2018)

I have THREE openings for homeschool students on Thursdays from 1:45 to 2:30, 2:30 to 3:15 and 3:15 to 4:00 pm on Thursdays.

$100 ($40 Registration/Reservation Fee plus $60 Materials' Fee) will hold your spot in my studio. You may register through the website and send a check or drop it by the studio. If your child is with a local charter school, the school may cover the $60 Materials' Fee for the school year.

I am sorry that I am NOT a vendor with Lake View Charter School as their insurance requirements are prohibitive and expensive for a very small business! I attempted to become a vendor with them this year, but they would not accept my more than adequate homeowner's liability policy that the other charter schools all accepted.
